Children's Ministry

In Deuteronomy 6:5-7, the Bible tells us that “…you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” This passage reflects God’s heart for parents. At Parkway, we want to partner with you to make an eternal difference in your child’s life.

Visitors,
we welcome you to Parkway Baptist Church and hope that you feel loved and encouraged in our midst. We encourage you to leave your preschool  children with our loving teachers and volunteers in the children’s area during Sunday School and Worship Service.

Security/Safety Policy
It is our desire that you and your child feel completely safe at Parkway at all times. To accomplish this goal, the following security/safety procedures need to be followed.
  • Children under the age of 14 may not pick up a child from the children’s area. Those over 14 must have their parent’s security card.
  • Please do not leave a child that is sick or has run a fever within the past 24 hours in the children’s area. This will protect your child as well as others from spreading illnesses.
  • Please do not leave the church campus while your preschooler is in the children’s area.
  • If there is a special need or circumstance for your child (e.g. food allergies, custody dispute, etc.) please notify your child’s teacher and the Children’s Minister as soon as possible.

Sunday Mornings at 9:15 am
Sunday school teachers are excited about going to their classes! The reason for their enthusiasm is simple...they love children and love to teach them about Christ. We carefully select Christ-centered curricula which are presented by teachers who live a lifestyle dedicated to honoring God. The lessons help each child put Bible truths to work in his or her everyday life.

Sunday Mornings at 10:45 am
We have children's church the 4th Sunday of each month for children, ages birth through Kindergarten beginning at 10:45 a.m.  Otherwise, nursery is provided for children ages 4 and under during our worship services.
